In Kabezi, Burundi, the Batwa ethnic group are called the “lost people,” because they live in extreme poverty without adequate food, water, or shelter. Estimates are that two children die each day in these conditions.

Bujumbura Bright Beginning School is present in the community to provide free education for the Batwa children. They are also looking to provide sponsorship and help the families with housing and other needs.
