In the city of Bukavu and surrounding villages in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, people live in severe poverty. There are few roads, and little clean water or electricity. Life is especially hard in the rural areas where violence and abuse of women and children is common.

More than 3000 homeless children struggle every day to get food, education, and healthcare. One Local Expert, Bartholemy, and his small team provide weekly meals, a medication clinic, sports and day centers for these children. In the last year they provided for 170 homeless children, showing them the love of Christ and helping meet their  physical needs.
